Arrival Day: Pickup from Kilimanjaro Airport to Hotel in Moshi

You’ll be met at Kilimanjaro Airport by our driver and transferred directly to your hotel in Moshi. This free airport transfer ensures a smooth start. Relax and prepare for your mountain adventure starting the next morning.

Day 1: Moshi Town – Machame Gate – Machame Camp

After breakfast, drive to Machame Gate (1,790m) where you’ll register and begin your hike. Trek through the lush rainforest for about 5–6 hours before reaching Machame Camp at 3,010m for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Machame Camp – Shira Camp

Climb through moorland and rocky ridges today. The trail leads you across a small valley before rising up to Shira Plateau (3,840m). You’ll enjoy fantastic views of Kibo and Mount Meru.

Day 3: Shira Camp – Barranco Camp

Ascend to the Lava Tower (4,630m) for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp (3,976m). This day is crucial for adjusting to the altitude and is one of the most scenic.

Day 4: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp
