Arrival Day: Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet your driver for a transfer to Arusha. Settle in and prepare for your safari ahead. You should arrive in Arusha at least one day before the safari begins, allowing time to rest and receive your final safari briefing.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire

Your pickup will be around 7:00 am to 8:00 am, with the exact time confirmed beforehand. Drive approximately 2 hours (109 km) to Tarangire National Park for game viewing. Look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, baboons, and many bird species among baobab trees and seasonal wetlands. In the late afternoon, drive toward Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for dinner and your overnight stay. Meals: Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2: Mto wa Mbu/Karatu to Ndutu

After breakfast, depart around 7:00 am to 8:00 am and drive approximately 3 to 3½ hours toward the Ndutu Area. During the calving season, watch carefully for wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and other wildlife. Around 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm, begin driving to your Ndutu accommodation for dinner and overnight. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 3: Ndutu Game Drive

Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation before setting out at approximately 6:20 am for a full morning game drive with packed lunch. Ndutu is particularly rewarding during calving season, when wildebeest and other herbivores gather with their young while predators remain active nearby. Watch for lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, elephants, and abundant birdlife. Around 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, begin driving toward the Ngorongoro Rim or Karatu for dinner and overnight. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for approximately 5–6 hours of game viewing with packed lunch. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, gazelles, hyenas, and numerous bird species across the crater floor. After the game drive, begin your return to Arusha, taking approximately 4 hours. Around 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, you should arrive at your Arusha hotel for dinner and overnight. Departure Day: Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport

After breakfast, spend your remaining time in Arusha according to your flight schedule. Most hotels have a maximum checkout time of around 10:00 am. If you need additional activities, a Kilimanjaro climbing trip, or a Zanzibar holiday, arrangements can be made to extend your Tanzania journey.
