Arrival Day: Kilimanjaro Airport to Moshi

Your arrival transfer will pick you up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and take you to your booked hotel in Moshi. This day is intended for arrival and preparation before the Machame Route climb begins. Any additional hotel arrangements can be organized according to your travel schedule.

Day 1: Moshi to Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Rising (ft): 56,000ft / 1,830m to 10,200ft / 3,100m | Stretch: 11 km | Hiking time: 5–7 hours | Climatic habitat: Rain Forest. Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner. The trek starts from Moshi toward Machame Gate, followed by registration and the beginning of the hike through the rainforest. The route gradually climbs toward Machame Camp, where you spend the night surrounded by the mountain environment.

Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Rising: 10,200ft / 3,100m to 12,600ft / 3,840m | Stretch: 9 km | Hiking time: 4–6 hours | Climatic habitat: Moorland. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Leaving Machame Camp, the trail continues upward through the moorland zone toward Shira Camp. The landscape becomes more open as you gain altitude. Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

Hiking time: 5–7 hours walking | Rising: 12,600ft / 3,840m to 12,700ft / 3,860m | Stretch: 15 km | Climatic habitat: Semi-desert. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The trail crosses the high-altitude semi-desert landscape as the route continues toward Barranco Camp. Day 4: Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp

This is the highest and most demanding section of the climb, followed by a significant descent. Overnight accommodation is provided at Mweka Camp.

Day 6: Mweka Camp to Machame Gate to Moshi to Arusha

Descent: 3,090m / 10,150ft to 1,680m / 5,500ft | Stretch: 10 km | Hiking time: 3–4 hours | Climatic habitat: Rain Forest. Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch. The descent continues through the rainforest to Machame Gate. After completing the mountain section, you return to Moshi. From Moshi, you will be transferred to Arusha for the night, preparing for the wildlife safari portion of the journey.

Day 7: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Pickup is around 7:00 am to 8:00 am, with the exact time confirmed before departure. The drive to Tarangire takes approximately 2 hours, covering about 109 km. The game drive may include elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and other wildlife. Late afternoon, continue toward Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 8: Mto wa Mbu/Karatu to Serengeti National Park

The safari continues toward Serengeti for game viewing and an overnight stay in Central Serengeti.
