7 days Serengeti safari tour to Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater itinerary

Day 1: From Arusha to Manyara

On the first day of our 7 days Serengeti safari tour, you depart Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks but still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience. There are a surprising number of elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. After the game drive, we will go to Manyara or Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: From Manyara or Karatu to Serengeti

The second day, we leave Manyara (Mto wa mbu) early after breakfast and travel to Serengeti National Park. We'll head to the Lobo area, which is near the Seronera area (central Serengeti National Park). The central Serengeti will be the location for the overnight stay and food. 

Day 3: Full day game drive in Serengeti (Seronera Area)

On the third day of our 7 days Serengeti safari, enjoy a full-day game drive in the park after breakfast. Elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, gazelles, zebras, and cheetahs are among the animals that you see today. Along the river's banks are magnificent riverine trees and a variety of birds, including fish eagles and kingfishers. The central Serengeti will be the location for the overnight stay and food.

Day 4: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende Area)

After breakfast, we depart for the northern Serengeti, where you can see the Masai Mara migration while wildebeest cross the river during August and September, also known as the Wagakuria. We will do a game drive from the Lobo area to the Wagakuria area. We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge, and after lunch we will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the area. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be provided at the Northern Serengeti.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti (Kogatende) - Serengeti (Central)

After breakfast on this day, enjoy a full-day game drive in the Wagakuria area. The number of African wildlife is exceptionally high in this area of the park, including prides of lions. Overnight stay and dinner at Central Serengeti.

Day 6: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Proceed with morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti, with a lunch and leisure break at the lodge in the midafternoon. After lunch, you will continue with the game drive in the Serengeti, heading to the Serengeti gate to check out of Serengeti National Park and then continuing with the game drive on the route to Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight at a camp or lodge at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 7: Full game drive in Ngorongoro Crater and back Arusha

After breakfast on the last day of your 7 days Serengeti safari, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater with a lunch box and enjoy the game drive for more than 7 hours. The crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, giant African elephants, buffalo, eland, warthogs, and hippopotamuses. You may also see a large predator population, which includes lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and the elusive leopard on the crater floor. After a picnic lunch, you will go on a game drive. After the game drive, we go back to Arusha.
